Ally Santos Music Studio Policy

Tuition

• Monthly tuition includes an average of four lessons.
• Students may choose between 45-minute or 60-minute weekly private lessons.
• Tuition is due by the 10th of each month.

Expectations

• Consistent practice is key — students are expected to practice 5–7 days each week.
• Please arrive on time; lessons will end at the scheduled time even if a student arrives late.
• Participation in studio recitals is required. Festivals and competitions are optional but encouraged!

Materials

• Students must have access to an acoustic or digital piano, a metronome, an assignment notebook, a tote bag, and all required books and materials.

Late Payments

• A $25 late fee will apply to payments made after the 10th.
• A $50 fee will apply to any returned checks.

Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons

• Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel a lesson and qualify for a make-up lesson.
• For illnesses please notify me by 8 AM on the day of the lesson to be eligible for a make-up.
• Lessons canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice (except for emergencies) will not be eligible for a make-up, credit, or refund.
• No-shows (missing a lesson without notifying) will not receive a make-up, credit, or refund.
• Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to the teacher’s availability.
• If a student schedules a make-up lesson and then misses it for any reason, that make-up opportunity is forfeited and will not be rescheduled.
• Make-up lessons must be completed within the same calendar year and cannot be carried over into the next year.
• If the teacher must cancel a lesson, it will either be rescheduled (depending on availability) or credited to the following month’s tuition.

Summer Vacations

• Please notify me at least three weeks in advance for any extended summer absences.
• Absences longer than three weeks may result in forfeiture of your reserved lesson time.
  
  

Ending Lessons

• If you choose to discontinue lessons, a written notice must be provided at least one month in advance.
• Tuition for the final month is required, even if the student decides not to attend all scheduled lessons during that time.
• Missed lessons during the final month are not eligible for make-ups or refunds.
• If notice is not provided one month in advance, the next month’s tuition will still be due to allow the studio time to fill the reserved spot.

Media Release

• Student performances or photos may be used for promotional purposes on the studio website or social media. If you prefer that your child’s images or videos not be shared, please notify me in writing.
